How to create abstract textures using the pointillize filter (as well as others) in Photoshop CC 2019 - see the video tutorial here by me
https://youtu.be/tgPVKE9dyxM
The video shows the steps from using the pointillize filter with channels panel and then using the find edges command along with oil paint and adjustments such as levels to create all kinds of unique and surreal textures / backgrounds / backdrops in seconds. At each stage the work can be saved to the CC libraries via the window menu libraries. You can export the work for use in After Effects and many other applications. You can manipulate the generated cell designs in all kinds of ways such as adding additional effects such as stamp or using the result as a source for awesome 3D models.
