At each stage the work can be saved to the CC libraries via the window menu libraries. You can export the work for use in After Effects and many other applications. You can manipulate the generated cell designs in all kinds of ways such as adding additional effects such as stamp or using the result as a source for awesome 3D models.

You can then use the artwork via the CC library, use it as a background, use it as a texture, use it as an overlay, use it with type, use it with 3D effects and more
